Over the course of the two-day event, the 2018 Texas Transition Conference will feature dozens of great presentations from speakers who provide a wealth of experience and information about evidence-based practices, special programming, and trending transition topics.

Team Empowerment

Kevin Fortunato is a student at TCHS Brandywine in the Early Childhood Education program. He is also mentoring students at his former elementary school.

Chris Coulston is a Project SEARCH™ graduate. He is employed at Christiana Care Health Systems and a part-time student at Delaware Technical Community College.

Cheryl Fortunato has been immersed in her son’s journey, desiring the best opportunities for him. She spent 20 years as a Human Resource professional.

Ellen Coulston is a graduate of George Washington University’s Graduate Transition certificate program. A former Mary Custie awardee, and Parenting Magazine MOM Congress delegate for the State of Delaware.

Patricia  Noonan, Ph.D. and Amy Gaumer Erickson, Ph.D.

Patricia Noonan and Amy Erickson are associate research professors at the University of Kansas, and both have PhDs in Secondary School Improvement/Transition. Their work has focused on instructional strategies within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports that enable students with and without disabilities to become college and career ready.

Derek Nord, Ph.D.

Director of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) at Indiana University. Derek has an extensive research and teaching background in community living, social inclusion, poverty and disability, school-to-adult transition, and employment of people with disabilities.

If you register with a PO #, an invoice will be generated. If you are not registering with a PO Number, you can mail a check to the address above to complete your registration or you can now register and pay online with a credit card. Payment will not be accepted at the conference.

 

Registration Fees

Early-Bird Registration: $265+

+Registrations completed before 11/22/2017 are eligible for the Early-Bird Discount Rate

Regular Registration: $285++

++Must complete registration before 1/12/2018

Late Registration: $305+++

+++Registrations completed after 1/12/2018
will be charged the late registration fee

Participants completing registration prior to November 22, 2017 will be eligible for the Early Bird rate. Participants completing registration between 11/23/2017-1/12/2018 will receive the Regular rate. Participants completing registration after 1/12/2018 will receive the Late rate.

There will be no on-site registration without prior approval. Purchase orders must be paid within 30 days from the date of invoice. Refunds will be made for cancellations made before 1/12/2018 but will be charged a $50 processing fee. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded. Substitutions made without 10 days prior notice will require a $50 fee.

The Texas Transition Conference will provide each participant an expanded continental breakfast and one full lunch. Other meals will be the responsibility of each participant.

Participants may pick up conference packets at the conference registration desk, Wednesday, February 21, 2018,  from 1:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Name badges, distributed at the registration desk, are required for entry into all conference sessions and activities.

CPE credits will be noted on the conference attendance certificate.

Conference App

Confirmed participants will be given access to a free, downloadable mobile conference app prior to the conference. Get updates about session locations, speakers, view a map of the venue, and read details about the conference all with one touch!

Downloadable Presentation Materials

In addition, a link will be distributed via email
two weeks prior to the event, which will grant
access to presentation materials electronically.

RATES: Single/Double: $159

Rates are based upon occupancy per night and are subject to change. Texas Transition Conference room block is valid until January 16, 2018 and subject to availability.
