Dr. Jamilia Blake, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, has recently been awarded the Rhonda Talley Distinguished Lecturer Award.

Annually, the Department of Counseling & Educational Psychology at Indiana University awards a lectureship to an exceptional school psychologist who has made an outstanding contribution to policy and advancement in the field of psychological study. While Dr. Blake has a distinguished collection of research and advancement efforts, she has been recognized specifically for her groundbreaking work on discipline and Black girls.

Dr. Blake has been invited to the School of Education at Indiana University during the spring semester to participate in a public lecture and informal meeting with students involved in the School of Psychology program. She will be awarded a $1,500 honorarium plus travel expenses.
