Education Service Center Region 12

This exciting training event brings together parents and students to learn how person centered practices lead to plans that support students to get better lives based on what is important to them.

As parents we want to make sure our children are safe.  BUT if all we think about is health and safety, how will our loved one discover how they want to live their life?

On the first day of this two days of intensive training, students and family members will learn person centered skills in different rooms.  On the second day, students will join their parents to share what they want to do with their lives.

Will the student’s plans match up with their parent’s plans?

Parents and people with disabilities certified with The Learning Community on Person Centered Practices will present the training.

This training event is organized in partnership between The Institute on Person Centered Practices at the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University and the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services.
