'Informed and Empowered' Disability Conference Scheduled for Feb. 5
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – "Informed and Empowered: A Disability Conference for Families in the Brazos Valley" will be held Saturday, Feb. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the College Station Conference Center at 1300 George Bush Drive. This annual event is sponsored by the Family Support Network at Texas A&M University.
The conference will feature sessions on special education and autism with guest speakers Gail Wright, Mary Jane Williams and Monte Parker. Over lunch, participants will learn about the Texas Technology Access Program, which supports a statewide assistive technology demonstration network of centers to provide general assistive technology, computer access and portable computer access demonstrations.
