Center Staff to Present at TAMR Convention July 25-27 in Galveston
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – Representatives from the Center on Disability and Development will be speaking at the Texas Association on Mental Retardation (TAMR) 32nd Annual Convention Wednesday, July 25 through Friday, July 27 at the San Luis Resort in Galveston, Texas.
Drs. Laura Stough and Amy Sharp will present on disability and disaster/emergency management, drawing from their experience with Project REDD (Research and Education on Disability and Disaster).
Drs. Stough and Sharp also will join Dr. Lauren Cifuentes and graduate assistants Sanser Bulu and Aaron Resch to present on the new Directory of Community Services for Individuals with Disabilities and their Families in Texas, a web-based collaborative tool designed for continuously compiling what will soon be a comprehensive list of statewide resources and community services available to individuals with disabilities and their families.
