Dr. Cheryl Grenwelge, PATHS Co-Director with the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M, and Dr. Jackie Pacha of the Brazos Valley Center of Independent Living (BVCIL) were awarded the 2014 TRAN Award by the Texas RehabACTion Network (TRAN) at the 19th Annual TRAN conference in Frisco, Texas, October 1-3, 2014.

Grenwelge is serving as Co-Director for the PATHS program and the Director for the annual Texas Transition Conference. The PATHS Program is a certificate program offered at the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University that will prepare graduates to be Direct Support Professionals. This two semester certificate program prepares graduates for employment in a career serving people with disabilities. For more information about PATHS visit their website.

The Texas Transition Conference is a two-day event which focuses on providing evidence-based practices that result in a smooth transition from school to adult life for youth with disabilities. This year the conference will be held at Westin Dallas Park Center in Dallas on February 19-20, 2015, for more information or to register for the conference please visit the website.

Dr. Jackie Pacha is the Executive Director at BVCIL. The BVCIL is a consumer-based, consumer-controlled, cross-disability, cross-cultural, non-residential, private nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.
