Dr. Deborah C. Simmons, CDD Affiliated Professor, was one of four researchers from across the country to be invited to present to the National Board for Education Sciences in Washington, DC.  The purpose of the presentations was to inform members of the National Board on the rigor and impact of research funded by the National Center for Special Education Research, Institute of Education Sciences. Dr. Simmons’ presentation focused on prevention and intervention in the early grades for students at risk of reading difficulties or disabilities, and how to effectively implement multi-tiered systems of support in schools.
